I took Chuck to the vet on Friday to get his leg looked out again because he was still limping pretty bad. She took x-rays of the leg and she couldn't see any broken bones but he wasn't cooperating real well so she didn't get a great shot of it. She had to give him a pain shot so she could at least bend his leg. He was pretty stoned the rest of the day. He was so out of it that he couldn't even stand up! She
wrapped a bandage around his leg and told me that he was on bed rest and to keep him in his kennel for the next week. I am only suppose to take him out 3 times a day for 5-10 minutes at a time to eat and go to the bathroom. That hasn't really worked because he whines the entire time he is in there during the day so it makes
Hef whine the entire time. We took him out so he could lay on the pillow in our living room. He is
ok as long as he is tired but if he isn't he runs around here like nothing. I even think the bandage helps him run better! He
slides around corners and plays with
Hef. We have even caught him jumping up and down on the couch! This is a
picture of him a little out of it. We had just gotten back from the vet. That was not a vet bill that I was expecting or wanted. It was $220 for the x-rays, pain shot and bandage. I keep trying to claim them on my insurance but they won't let me!
These pictures are of his puppies he likes to cuddle with when he is tired. The big one is now in the trash because he already tore it up but the one with spots is a new one that is made for tuff chewers like my babies. It doesn't have stuffing in it so even if there is a whole it doesn't matter. The material is stronger too.
