Scary

Last night Chuck and Hef were playing around and Hef pushed Chuck into the couch really hard. I heard this loud squeal and when I came to check it out Chuck was limping pretty good. I was really worried that he broke his leg. I told Mike that we should let him rest that night and see how he feels in the morning. Well, he was still limping pretty good in the morning so I took him straight to the Vet. He said that he just sprained it and he gave him some medicine to take the swelling down. He also gave him his regular shots that he was due for. He was concerned about the Rabies shot that he was going to give him. He said it looked like he has had a reaction to it before because he had a spot on his leg where he had the shot before. He wanted me to watch him and make sure that there was no swelling. So I stayed home from work so that I could be with him today. It was really weird that I stayed home and I wasn't sick. Thank goodness all of the people that I work with are dog lovers and they understood what I was going through. He seems fine now and has tons of energy still. He is still limping a little but it seems to be getting better. I was such a worried parent today!

Experimenting.....

This week we decided to leave to leave the dogs out of their kennel while we were at work. They did great for the first 2 days. On the 3rd day, I came home to find stuffing all over the couch. I couldn't figure out where the stuffing was coming from. I checked the pillow on the couch but there wasn't a hole. I checked all of their toys but nothing. Then I checked the couch..... I found a hole on the top of the couch that was soaking wet! They had chewed a hole in my couch!!!! Thank goodness it looks like I can sew it up but it definitely won't look the same. Needless to say, they are back in the kennel while we are out of the house. I swear, sometimes I think that they are worse than kids! Their new thing now is to sleep on top of their kennel. They can get right on it because it is the same height as the arm of the couch. We keep a bed up there and they fight who gets it first.

We went bowling last night and watched the UFC fight at the same time. They were not that good actually. I am glad that we didn't buy the pay per view! We just pay for a lane of bowling and get to watch the fight for free! That is so much more fun then just watching it at home.

Good weekend!

Well, last night Mike and I were bored so we decided to go gambling for a little while. It turned out that we won $200! It was awesome! Can't really complain about that. We are not the big gambling type but every once in awhile we try our luck.

Well, I have new news on the puppies. Chuck can finally jump up on our bed! He did it yesterday and I was so shocked that he could actually do it! Our bed is pretty high so I never thought he would be able to do it. I have been walking the dogs every night and I think that has helped him get a little stronger. He is looking pretty muscular. The vet told me that my dogs were getting chunky so we changed their diet and have been walking every night. It helps me out too to try and get my knee stronger for ski season. I don't know if I will be able to go skiing at all this year again but we will see.

The 1st blog EVER!

Well, I figured since everyone in my family (and by that I mean all of the girls in my family) are blogging, I might as well give it a try. I am hoping to update this once a week but we will see how it goes. Vegas is treating us well. Chuck just celebrated his 1 year birthday in August and Hef will be 2 in December. They grow up soooo fast! They are spoiled as ever! We usually keep them in their kennel with their comfy beds at night so mommy and daddy can get some sleep but last night we tried to have them sleep with us in our bed. We have tried before but have had to put them back since they think they can start playing in the middle of the night. But last night they were angels and slept all night. Except when I heard Hef at about 5:30am throwing up down by my feet. He must have gotten one of my hairs stuck in his throat. He was good after that and they both slept until about 7am. Not bad!
